Following the festivities, the police reported some troubling statistics.
Hospitals treated 98 individuals, primarily injured by the abundant fireworks. Among the incidents, a Belgian tourist was inexplicably stabbed while riding a motorcycle through the city. Additionally, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, ten robberies were recorded, and four arrests were made in Naples.
To recap, Napoli's footballers secured the Italian championship with a 2-0 victory over Cagliari, with Scott McTominay and Romelu Lukaku scoring goals that preserved their one-point lead over Inter. Although Inter also celebrated with a 2-0 away win against Como, it was not enough for them to retain the Italian championship title.
